Cowboys

This lesson is the first of five in the Cowboy Unit. It can be used individually or with the unit. It is designed to introduce students to the pattern that cowboys contend in carbon monoxides history during the late 1800s. The focus is on making a KWL chart, reading a picture entertain called Cowboys, and examining various artifacts. This lesson explores the concept of power. It introduces students to a group of people and events that play an important role in Colorados history of the cattle boom.
